Removable and interchangeable washer fluid container
TECHNICAL AREA
The present invention relates to a removable and interchangeable washer fluid container, and a washer fluid dispensing device comprising such a container.
STATE OF THE ART
Automobiles are commonly equipped with washing systems to clean the windshield of what could block the vehicle passenger's vision, such as splashing, insects, frost, ice. These washing systems are accompanied by windscreen wiper systems and comprise a container of washer fluid installed on the vehicle and spraying means to allow the liquid contained in the container to be sprayed towards the windshield. .
For an improved cleaning of the windshield, it is possible to supplement the usual windshield washer with an additional product adapted to the period of the year and / or the desired effect. For example, this product can improve insect removal in summer or windshield defrost in winter. It is either added to the usual windshield washer or contained in a second container and sprayed onto the windshield in combination with the windshield washer.
Such systems are not very flexible and require either a complex assembly with several pumps in the case of several containers, or drain the container, replace the liquid with a suitable liquid and / or to add an additional product in the case of a single container. In addition, in current systems, the attachment and maintenance of a container are not suitable for introduction and repeated withdrawals thereof or a disassembly of the support. The support is generally configured for a type of container and is not adapted to receive containers of various shapes and / or volumes. Similarly, current technology does not know what type of fluid is in use.
The Applicant has proposed solutions to these problems in document FR-A1-3,006,966. This document describes a washer fluid container which is configured to be removably and interchangeably mounted on a support of a dispensing device. of fluid-washer-ice. The container has a lower opening configured to cooperate with connection means of the support and upper gripping means of the container for its assembly and disassembly.
As can be seen in FIG. 1, which is extracted from the aforementioned document, the gripping means of the container 10 comprise a cavity 12 which opens onto a front face of the container. The cavity 12 has a parallelepipedal shape and is shallow. To enter the container 10 and handle it, the user must have one or two fingers in the cavity 12 and pinch the upper end of the container between these fingers and other fingers of the hand housed in another cavity 14 opening on a rear face of the container (Figures 2 and 3). This pinching is necessary to grip the container and apply a pulling force to remove the aforementioned support, and makes the disassembly operation of the container relatively difficult. The invention proposes an improvement to this technology, which is simple, effective and economical.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention proposes for this purpose a windscreen washer fluid container, configured to be removably and interchangeably mounted on a support of a fluid-washer-ice dispensing device, said container having at least one lower end at least one opening configured to cooperate with connection means of said support for the passage of fluid through said opening, said container having at an upper end means for gripping the container for mounting / disassembly, which comprise a cavity configured to receive fingers with one hand, characterized in that said gripping means further comprises a hook member and defining a recess opening down into said cavity and configured to receive at least some of said fingers. The invention thus makes it possible not to need to pinch the container to remove it from the support. It is sufficient for the user to insert fingers into the recess and recess and extract the container by pulling a force directly on the hook member. This element thus forms a hooking handle similar to a fixed door handle.
The container according to the invention may comprise one or more of the following characteristics, taken separately or in combination with each other: said element is formed by at least one wall of the container, said element has a shape substantially in L or C said element comprises an upper wall defining an upper face of the container, and a front wall defining an upper front face of the container; the container comprises a lower front face, said lower and upper front faces being separated from one another; other by said cavity, - at least one of said upper face and said front face or faces is shaped to receive information, for example in the form of a self-adhesive label, - said element comprises a free front edge of generally curved shape whose concavity is upwards, - said element comprises free lateral edges which are r attached to said lower front edge by convex rounded corners, - said element is solid, - at least one of said cavity and said recess extends over the entire width of said container and opens on sides of the container, - said cavity has a shape curved general, said cavity and said recess define a volume representing between 10 and 30% of the internal fluid storage volume of the container, the container is formed in one piece, preferably in plastic material, and the container has a parallelepipedic general shape.
The present invention also relates to a washer fluid dispensing device, comprising at least one container as described above, and a support configured to be attached to a vehicle and comprising a housing for the or each container.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Figures 4 to 7 show a container 30 of windshield washer fluid according to the invention.
The container 30 is configured to be mounted on a support 32 which will be described in more detail in the following with reference to Figure 8. The container 30 is removable and interchangeable. It can, thus, be set up, extracted and then replaced by another container 30 repeatedly by the user according to his needs and as many times as necessary.
The container 30 is of generally parallelepipedal shape, it may have any other shape as long as it is adapted to the shape of the support 32 and the container can be inserted in the housing 34 thereof. The container 30 comprises an upper face 30a, a lower face 30b, at least one front face 30c1, 30c2, a rear face 30d and two side faces 30e.
The container 30 comprises at its lower end at least one opening 37. The opening located on the lower face 30b is adapted to cooperate with connection means of the support 32. This opening 37 allows the distribution of the washer fluid to a circuit windshield washer fluid.
The container 30 may comprise another opening located on the upper face 30a of the container 30, to maintain a pressure inside the container 30 identical to the atmospheric pressure. This second opening may be necessary in the case of a rigid container 30, to facilitate the exit of the fluid or washer fluid thereof. On the other hand, in the case of a flexible container, this second opening is optional, the container being able to deform to allow the exit of the fluid towards the circuit.
The opening or openings of the container 30 may comprise closure or closure means. It can be operculas. These covers will in particular be configured to be able to close the openings after removal of the container 30 from the support 32. The containers thus extracted can be closed to ensure better storage until the next use of the container, especially in the case where they were removed while not yet empty. This prevents deterioration or leakage of the washer fluid. The closure means may be chosen, in a nonlimiting manner and by way of example, from stickers, membranes, plugs or flexible valves. In the case of a container 30 with a plurality of openings, the closure means may be the same or a combination of the means listed above.
The container 30 according to the invention is advantageously pre-filled with a washer fluid. It may be, for example, a deicing liquid, a cleaning liquid or a liquid insect repellent. The user thus chooses the desired liquid to effectively clean his windshield.
The container 30 may be disposable after use of the liquid. In other words, the container 30 is not intended to be refilled after use of the amount of pre-filled liquid. It thus comprises either a single opening, serving for its emptying, or a first and a second opening. In the case of the presence of a second opening of the aforementioned type, used to put it at atmospheric pressure, it may be a simple vent orifice, of reduced diameter, too small to allow its filling.
The container 30 carries information to the user. The user can for example know the type of fluid contained in the container through information affixed to the container via labels 44, drawings, etc. (Figure 8).
The container 30 comprises guide means 36 intended to cooperate with complementary guide means of the support 32. The guide means 36 here comprise straight and parallel grooves located on the sides of the container, over substantially the entire height thereof. .
The container 30 also comprises a cavity 38 which opens out towards the front. This cavity 38 is located between a lower front face 30c1 and an upper front face 30c2 of the container, on each of which is affixed a label 44 (Figure 8).
In the example shown, the cavity 38 has a generally elongated and curved shape, with a concavity facing upwards. The cavity 38 opens at its longitudinal or lateral ends on the side faces 30e of the container. The cavity 38 thus extends over the entire width of the container. It is defined by a bottom wall 38a whose front lower edge 38b is connected to the lower front face 30c1 of the container. The longitudinal or lateral ends of these walls 38a, 38b are connected to the side faces 30e of the container.
The container 30 also comprises a recess 40 which is situated above the cavity 38 and which opens out into this cavity. The recess 40 has a generally elongated shape. It opens at its longitudinal or lateral ends on the side faces 30e of the container. The recess 40 therefore extends over the entire width of the container. It is defined by a bottom wall 40a which extends upwardly in the extension of the bottom wall 38a of the cavity 38 and by a hook member 42 disposed at the upper end of the container 30. The element 42 has a general shape L or C to define the recess 40 above. It comprises an upper wall 42a extending forwards in the extension of the upper face 30a of the container, and a front wall 42b extending downwards and defining the upper front face 30c2 above. The element 42 or the wall 42b comprises a lower front edge 42c free of generally curved shape whose concavity is oriented upwards. The wall 42b further comprises free side edges 42d which are connected to the lower front edge 42c by rounded 42e convex corners.
The walls 42a, 42b are preferably solid, that is to say that they are not recessed and do not include an opening. This optimizes the outer surface of the wall on which can be affixed the label 44 (Figure 8).
The container 30 further comprises two recesses 46, respectively lower and upper, on its rear face 30d (Figures 6 and 7). The upper recess opens on both the rear face 30d and the upper face 30a of the container.
As seen in FIGS. 6 and 7, the cavity 38 and said recess 40 preferably define a volume V1 representing between 10 and 30% of the internal fluid storage volume V2 of the container. The recess 40 may have a depth P and a height H representing 20 to 40% respectively of those of the container 30.
The container 30 is here formed in one piece, preferably in plastic material.
Fig. 8 shows a washer fluid dispensing device according to the invention, comprising the container 30 described above and the carrier 32 configured to be attached to the vehicle and including the housing 34 for the container. The housing 34 is configured to allow repeated introduction and extraction of the container 30. The user will thus be able to change the container as many times as desired.
The housing 34 is here of substantially parallelepipedal shape, it may have any other shape as long as it is suitable for housing a container and that this shape is adapted to the shape of the container. It comprises a lower base 52 and two lateral uprights 54. The lower base 52 comprises flanges 56 for fixing the vehicle by means of the screw-nut type. These fixing means are given for illustrative purposes only. Any other way or any other location is possible.
The support 32 may comprise means for locking the container 30 in said housing 34, in particular by snapping. These locking means comprise for example a flexible tongue terminated by a hook and designed to cooperate by snap-fitting with at least one of the recesses 46, such as the upper recess 46.
The base 52 comprises the aforementioned connecting means which allow the connection between the container 30 and a washer fluid circuit. The circuit comprises for example a pump 58 and a set of ducts (not shown) connecting the pump to spraying means. It is possible to connect the pump 58 directly to the base 52, as shown. The connection means can be configured to allow automatic opening of the container, such as opening opening 37.
The amounts 54 of the support comprise the guiding means of the container during its assembly and disassembly. These guide means may comprise complementary ribs of the grooves 36 of the container. These ribs are then substantially rectilinear and have a substantially vertical orientation in the position of use of the support.
The base 52 includes an internal reservoir which is intended to be supplied with fluid by the container 30 and to dispense fluid to the pump 58 located here on one side of the base. The reservoir is therefore in fluid communication with the container and the pump 58.
A single displacement in translation of the container 30 vis-à-vis the base, until the cooperation, for example by interlocking between the opening 37 of the reservoir and the connecting means of the base, is sufficient to establish a fluid communication between the container and the tank. This movement can be achieved by a simple vertical thrust exerted on the reservoir by the user. The hook member 42 creates an extension of the upper face 30a of the container and facilitates this operation by pressing one hand on the upper end of the container. The extraction of the container 30 from the support 32 is made by pulling on the container on the side opposite to the support. For this, the user must grasp the element 42 like a door handle, by sliding a part of the fingers of one hand (such as all the fingers except the thumb,), then pulling upwards with this hand.
Figure 8 shows the labels 44 carried by the container 30 and discussed above. These labels 44 serve in particular to identify the type of product contained in the container 30. The device may also include means for identifying the type of product contained in the container. These identification means are for example of mechanical type and intended to cooperate with means of the container, such as the lower recess 46. The shape, the dimensions and / or the position of this recess may be specific to a particular type of product and thus allow the device to recognize this type of product and possibly adapt its operating cycle depending on this product.
